Benjamin Thomas "Benji" Reid (born 16 December 1994) is a Swedish singer. He competed in Svensksong 1 with the song "Mirror".

Life and career[]

Early life[]

Reid was born on 16 December 1994 in the Södermalm district of Stockholm. His father, Robert Reid, is from Scotland, while his mother, Nicolette Olsson, is Swedish. He grew up with an older and younger sister.

Reid completed his compulsory education in 2011, and then moved to Glasgow, Scotland to attend a music school. He returned to Sweden the following year, and completed high school at a Swedish music school in 2014. After his graduation, he began to pursue a professional music career.

2014–present: Breakthrough and Svensksong[]

Reid was signed to Sony Music Sweden in 2015. In 2016, Reid was confirmed to be taking part in Svensksong 1, with the song "Mirror". He performed the song in the third semi-final, and advanced directly to the final. In the final, he placed tenth.
