Elena Vladimirovna Zvyagina (Greek: Ελένη Βλαντιμιρόβνα Ζβιαγκίνα, Russian: Елена Владимировна Звягина; born 13 February 1998), known professionally as Leni (Greek: Λένη), is a Cypriot singer. She will represent Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest: Stockholm with the song "You're the One".

Life and career[]

Early life[]

Zvyagina was born on 13 January 1998 in Larnaca. Her father, Vladimir Zvyagin, immigrated to Cyprus from Sochi, Russia in 1992. He works in the tourism industry, while her mother, Maria Zvyagina (née Mavrou) is a Greek Cypriot who works as a gynecologist. She grew up with two younger brothers.

Zvyagina began pursuing music at a young age, and attended the American Academy of Larnaca. She graduated in 2016. Following her graduation, Zvyagina permanently moved to Athens, Greece.

Music career[]

Zvyagina began her music career in 2016, taking part in season three of The Voice of Greece. She passed her blind audition but was eliminated in the battle rounds. Afterwards, she was signed to Minos EMI and released the single "Afto pou thelo", which became a moderate success in Greece and massive success in Cyprus.

In 2016, it was confirmed that Zvyagina would represent Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest: Stockholm with the song "You're the One".

Personal life[]

Zvyagina has resided in Athens, Greece since 2016, but also owns property in Nicosia, Cyprus. She is a dual citizen of Cyprus and Russia, and speaks both languages fluently.
