Lina Maria Thorsson (born 19 September 1987) is a Swedish singer, songwriter, and music producer. She competed in Svensksong 1 with the song "Back to the Start".

Life and careerEdit

Early lifeEdit

Thorsson was born on 19 September 1987 in Falun. Her father was a copper miner at the city's mine, while her mother was a secretary. The family was working class, and Thorsson grew up with two older brothers.

Thorsson graduated from compulsory schooling in 2004. After graduating, she moved by herself to Stockholm to attend a music school. She graduated from music school in 2007, and began a music career.

2014–present: Breakthrough and SvenksongEdit

Thorsson began her music career in 2007, and was signed to TEN Music Group in 2014. She released her debut single, "Party Girl", that year. Thorsson went on to release the singles "Basement" and "Ghost" in 2015.

In 2016, Thorsson was confirmed to be taking part in Svensksong 1, with the song "Back to the Start". She performed the song in the third semi-final, and was eliminated, placing fifth.
