Weronika Porębska (born 12 July 1995) is a Polish singer and songwriter. She will represent Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest: Stockholm, with the song "Human".
Life and career[]
Early life[]
Porębska was born on 12 July 1995 in Opole. Her father, Jakub, worked in business, while her mother, Maria, worked in finance. She grew up with an older sister and and a younger brother.
Porębska completed compulsory schooling in 2011, and later attended a music school in her hometown. She graduated from music school in 2014. After her graduation, she moved to Warsaw in order to pursue a music career.
2014–present: Eurovision Song Contest[]
Porębska signed to Universal Music Polska in 2016, and released her debut single, "Nowy dzień". The song peaked within the top forty in Poland. In 2017, she was confirmed to be taking part in Krajowy Konkurs 1, with the song "Human". She ended up winning, scoring maximum points from the jury and televoters.. She will now represent Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest: Stockholm.
